Alfred A. Wohlgemuth

Alfred A. Wohlgemuth, 75, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, March 2, 2007 at the St. Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Wohlgemuth was born March 26, 1931, in Triplett, Mo., to the late Roy I. and Oveta (Colley) Wohlgemuth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff where he served as a Deacon and a Trustee as well as Treasurer of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Mr. Wohlgemuth had retired as a District Manager for the Keebler Co. He enjoyed spending time with his family and trout fishing.

On April 29, 1950, he married Evelyn Barbour, in Harrison, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Kay Hansen and husband Jerry Hansen, of Dublin, Ohio, Ann Frazier, of Bremen, Ohio and Kris Miller-Roberts and husband Bob Roberts, of Madison, Miss.; a son, Andy Wohlgemuth, of Houston, Tex.; six grandchildren, Adam Hansen, Amy Hansen, Aubrey Miller, Chelsea Wohlgemuth. Clifton Wohlgemuth and Caleb Wohlgemuth; one great grandchild, Ethan Hansen; a sister, Dorothy Orear, of Jefferson City; and two brothers, Roy Francis Wohlgemuth, of Peru, Ind. and Douglas Wohlgemuth, of Villa Ridge, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
