Alfred E. Sadler

Alfred E. ""Sonny"" Sadler, 80, of Poplar Bluff passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Sadler was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Poplar Bluff to the late William Shelmar and Hilda Maude (Bedgly) Sadler. He was a member of Northend Holiness Church where he had served as pastor for 25 years. Mr. Sadler was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

On March 5, 1949 he married Sadie Lee Anderson, in Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Saundra Kidd, of Poplar Bluff; son, Kenneth Sadler, of Poplar Bluff; and four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Imogene Landis; and two brothers, David Sadler and Bill Sadler, all of Poplar Bluff

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel with the Rev. David Thomas and the Rev. Paul White officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery, in Broseley.
